"As Loveley as I Remembered"
It had been over ten years since my last visit to the Mauna Lani Bay.... but the hotel looks as fresh and beautiful as my very first visit in the early 1990's. The ambiance is quiet, elegant and very Hawaiian---and the rooms are lovely after a very recent renovation. I was a bit worried that the hotel might be showing signs of age---but I found the public rooms, gardens and grounds to be perfectly maintained---I was very impressed. In the past years I have stayed at the Four Seasons resorts in Hawaii....but will now add the Mauna Lani Bay on the list for a most relaxing and authentic Hawaiian escape. Don't miss the outdoor massage at the Spa....it was lovely! Clefsdorsf, California
"Heavenly Haven"
"We love it! Plans to return again are underway. The property is beautiful. The staff is simply excellent. From the moment we arrived until the time we checked out we were treated with courtesy, respect, and warmth. The Aloha Spirit oozes from this place." Les Rose, Washington
"Return to Paradise"
"What a joy to be able to return to paradise at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and rejuvenate our spirits...along with our bodies in the beautiful water and on the best beach in Hawaii! Our favorite place to have lunch and a casual dinner is the Ocean Grill, strategically set between the pool area and the sand, overlooking the sparkling blue ocean. The manager, Michael, is always welcoming you, even if you are smothered in towels, fresh in from swimming! " Loves Albert, California
"The Mauna Lani far exceeded my highest expectations!"
"My mother and I went on a week long girls getaway and were absolutely amazed by both the hotel and the area. It really is a tropical paradise. We agreed we had never been anywhere nicer in our life. The people were incredibly friendly and helpful and the property was beautiful and luxurious but in a very understated, natural way. It was almost impossible to come home..." The Bright Side, Dallas
'Lani' means heaven in Hawaiian
"We stayed at the Mauna Lani for a week. As soon as you step out of your car, you can hear the relaxing waterfall. You are immediately greeted with a welcoming smile. In Hawaiian, Lani means heaven. I found myself relaxed and pampered after our stay in Mauna Lani; that to me, is heaven." Absolute72, Maryland
"As close as you can get to heaven on earth"
"The only service missing would be to put on your sun lotion for you! Absolutely don't miss the fish feeding tour. This hotel is built over ponds that are kept in an almost natural state and are full of awesome species. It is a beautiful open-air hotel with gorgeous flora everywhere. Sweet smells waft everywhere." Hey Marie, Florida
"Perfect vacation"
"A very big "Thank you" to all the wonderful staff at Mauna Lani. We recently returned from two incredible weeks at that hotel. Actually, it was only supposed to be one week in the Big Island and one week in Kauai. However, after checking out of the Mauna Lani and spending a day in Kauai, we realized that we had been spoiled forever by the beautiful setting and the outstanding staff of the Mauna Lani. We checked out of the hotel in Kauai and quickly and happily returned to the Mauna Lani where we were greeted like returning family." T Tiverton, Rhode Island
"Outstanding"
"Service, Service, Service. The entire staff was courteous, helpful, knowledgeable, and engaging. The resort is a true hawaiian gem. Beautiful quiet resort. What we liked: numerous daily activities such as petroglyph tour, fish feeding, lei making, hula, mat weaving, and smores at night. Greeted by fresh flower lei, passion juice, cold wash cloth to tidy up during the registration. Kids loved personalized gift baskets in room full of goodies. clkerr1118, Philadelphia
