Personal Evolution in Paradise

I've been traveling to Hawaii since 1993. From my first visit to the Mauna Lani in 2005, I knew this was the place. In addition to our personal experience of beauty, grace and genuine consideration, we knew that we would be returning to the Mauna Lani and would bring our clients with us that they might also know this deep state of peace and relaxation. Since our clients are also our 'ohana', we cared deeply about the environment into which we introduced many of them to the experience of Hawaii for the first time. I knew that I could trust the people of the Mauna Lani to welcome them with aloha and great 'mana' and that their greeting would be sincere and heartfelt. Many people contributed to the great success of our retreat! From Kirk, Jasmine and Ben who welcomed us; to Terry and Wayne who made sure that all of our individual and collective needs were met; to Elizabeth and James who ensured comfortable elegance for our reception and program experience; and to Danny who helped us all to get a little closer to the people of this beautiful paradise. Mahalo from all of us to all of you! Not being technologically proficient, my only way to share the images that document our journey to Paradise are contained on Facebook, under the group called 'WEL-Systems World!' We are most willing to share them with anyone who is interested. Likely as with many other guests of the Mauna Lani, we have an abundance of hammocks, turtles and magnificent sunsets! For sure, we'll be back - time and again. Many of our group continue to talk of their sense of peace at being there and are already making plans to return. I, for one, still feel as if I've never left.... Not being technologically proficient

Did I dream it?

From the moment we pulled up to the door of the Mauna Lani Hotel, I knew I had made the right decision. Paris where I had spent several previous birthdays? Oahu where we spent our honeymoon? Kauai where I went once between jobs? The Grand Canyon where I have never been? Or Hawaii where I did Peace Corps training in '71? I decided on the latter and knew I wanted to go to a beautiful spot near Hapuna Beach where I had camped out before there were any resorts in Kona or the Kohala Coast. The men at the desk outside, the woman who sat us at the desk at reception and ensured we had juice and were properly checked in. The natural beauty, open air atmosphere of the interior of the hotel and there is no where with a more wonderful view - the coconut palms, fish ponds, sunset outside our window each night. We found the atmosphere relaxed and elegant. Breakfast on the lawn with birds all around and the great poi pancakes!! Nowhere else. The staff, the room, the ambiance, the "green" status of Mauna Lani. The place should be full all year round. Or did I dream it? I will post a photo when I wake up in a day or two.

Everybody is so friendly!

We had a wonderful time when we stayed at the end of March. Lily and all the rest at the concierge desk were so friendly and accommodating. We loved talking with all the Bell Clerks and Attendants like LeeAnn, Vickie, Marcus, Cy, and David. The hula dance taught by Auntie Marjorie was wonderful, and the historic grounds tour by Danny was great. Thanks to everybody at Mauna Lani for making our trip so memorable.
